Dependent on Russian natural gas from the EU to reduce import of Azerbaijan

 China Economic Net News Beijing Jan. 17 (intern reporter Hu Zhou), according to the German European Commission President and the President of Azerbaijan on 13 March signed a protocol on gas supply to the EU.

Azerbaijan, Russia will extend along the southern corridor, the long-term to provide significant numbers of EU natural gas. According to a spokeswoman in Vienna said the supply of natural gas should reach 100 to 15,000,000,000 cubic meters per year.

EU Energy Commissioner Guenther pointed out that in the coming decades as the import of natural gas increased, the need for new gas supplies in Europe countries.
